We see what's happening with the leadership right now in Washington and the Republican leadership devastating our teachers. And we need new leadership to step in and protect and support. So The disrespect of the teacher profession isn't anything new. My dad a degree in elementary education and he decided to go work on an assembly line instead. Even he would have better pay and wouldn't have to deal with all the challenges and the disrespect that came with that profession. (1:01:15–1:01:19)
