And I urge others to do the same. Such behavior has no place in our schools and universities, no place in civil discourse, and no place in America. But I urge something more. We must end the ideological capture that causes our schools and universities to become cradles of intolerance and political violence. The solution to these acts of hatred that have disfigured our campuses is a thriving marketplace of ideas, a commitment to freedom of speech and thought and inquiry. (01:48–01:54)
