Alarmingly, many of these advocates of political violence are teachers, professors and administrators at our schools and universities, leaders who are entrusted with shaping the character of the next generation and the ideas that affect us all. This is further evidence of the profound crisis in our classrooms and on our campuses. Make no mistake. Ideological capture can lead to political violence by demonizing people with dissenting views. When our institutions become captive to divisive ideologies, we risk losing not only the pursuit of truth, but but our very sense of humanity. (01:03–01:09)
