Because big corporations and the wealthiest can often get out of paying their fair share of taxes. And that's what we've seen over the last 15 years of Republican rules. We used to have a progressive income tax. Republicans have basically lopped off the top part of [the progressive income tax] so that the wealthiest among us are not paying their fair share in taxes.
