As an elected leader, I will say right out, we have to have politicians willing to accept the results even if they lose. It is not okay to be undermining people's confidence in our election workers. I also voted for legislation to help increase penalties for folks who are being, are perpetrating harassment and abuse on our local elected officials. We need to make sure that they're protected. I also want to make sure that voters are free from harassment, intimidation because whatever is being directed towards poll workers, remember voters are there. (14:06–14:17)
