A few years ago, we didn't make any of the most advanced chips in the United States. There was bipartisan agreement that that was a real challenge. They were disproportionately made in Taiwan. Today, the most advanced chips are made in Phoenix, Arizona, and that is a really big deal for our country's safety. The relationship between China and Taiwan, complex. No one country should have so much of the world's advanced technology. It's a much safer system for all of us. (17:04–17:12)
