“We have tremendous K12 community college and university. This is why I continually urge the general assembly and every other major player we've got to stay on our toes. Other states want what we have here in North Carolina and they are making big investments in K12 and what they pay their teachers making major investments in their universities and community college. So we cannot just rest on our laurels. We have to stay aggressive. I have put together a council on workforce and apprenticeships which Secretary Lilly is co chairing along with the community college president Jeff Cox and Senator Eddie Settle.” (30:48–30:59)
