I think it's been encapsulated how difficult topic this is, and we have a hearing about it every session. And since the first session I sat in the legislature, I was 27 years old, and I met a gentleman who was on death row, who was exonerated, who was not guilty of the crime. legally not guilty of the crime that he was sent to death row for. That is a conversation that is necessary for people in legislature making these policy decisions. (48:26–48:32)
