And when I was speaker of the House in Ohio, I created a program in 2005 called the EdChoice Scholarship. It's a statewide voucher program, now has over 160,000 children enrolled in it at some level. And The Urban Institute recently conducted a study that showed that children who have a voucher in the EdChoice scholarship are 32% more likely to enroll in college than those who remained in the same public schools. So it works. Doesn't mean that enrolling in college is the most important measurement, the most important measure is getting a child prepared to do whatever they want to do. (01:34–01:47)
