In the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country with over two thirds of the world's cobalt deposits, CCP linked companies own 15 of the 19 cobalt producing mines. This provides Beijing with control over a supply chain crucial for our economic and national security. Ensuring that chinese companies do not monopolize these markets and encouraging and incentivize two way us trade and investment with Africa is a key priority of mine. (04:42–04:53)
