In the 2024 Water Resources Development act, we authorized $51.5 million for fixing our sewers and keeping harmful chemicals out of our drinking water. This includes $27.5 million from Madera County, 10 million for Stanislaus County, 10 million for Paterson, and 4 million for Los Banos. This funding will deliver cheaper and cleaner water to valley families. We also kept our families safe from floods by directing the government to fix levees on the San Joaquin and Chowchilla rivers and to clean out our rivers and streams by dredging. (00:18–00:29)
