We also kept our families safe from floods by directing the government to fix levees on the San Joaquin and Chowchilla rivers and to clean out our rivers and streams by dredging. I joined Democrat and Republican Representatives Napolitano, La Malfa and Garamendi to make the government prioritize storing more water to protect our valley for droughts. The 2024 Water Development act will bring down the cost of groceries and create good paying jobs. I'm proud to work with both parties to develop this bill. (00:43–00:54)
