Until and unless we deal with this mandatory spending, we are never going to deal with this mountain of debt now approaching $36 trillion. And We are paying more money for interest on the national debt than we are on our own defense, which is 2.7% of our GDP. So we finally kicked the can down the road to the point we've run out of road.
