If we did our jobs properly and passed our appropriations bills on time, we would not have to impose the burdens of all this on other people, our constituents and our staff. It is really not rational that Senate Democrats should impose this burden on the entire country in order to try to appease the more radical elements of their political base. which is really what this is all about.
