New York City has had outsiders that won City hall in improbable circumstances and people that won from the Democratic side with little name recognition. Elections are defined by New Yorkers based on the circumstances of the time. And Right now, we have scandal, we have bad governance, we have problems that are significant, but they all trace back to one thing, bad political leaders. And so from my perspective, what I've been hearing is I've been meeting more and more New Yorkers is we want a timeout from scandal, we want a timeout from politics, we want good governance.
