“Institutions of higher education should have to distribute information about the rights of pregnant students and the resources available to them at the school through their website, student handbooks, emails, and during student orientations. Additionally, The bill reinforces current laws requiring schools to adopt and publish procedures for students to file complaints of discrimination related to their sex, pregnancy, or parental status. Unfortunately, this bill falls short of addressing the full scope of the needs of students. For example, it does not require institutions of higher education to provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive health information, including information on how to access contraception or abortion services.” (01:03–01:16)
