“And it was during a Florida debate I had not planned. I had never shared it publicly. I only shared it with a handful of people over my life. But There was legislation that was moving through the Senate that would make it much harder for women to access reproductive health care. And so they wouldn't have a hearing with women or doctors. And so in hopes of trying to persuade some votes, I shared my story in trying to put a face on all the women that were going to be impacted by this.” (13:39–13:48)
