That infinite money had to get spent separately, and politicians couldn't quid pro quo ask for huge amounts of cash to their campaign. What today's decision does is that a politician, instead of being able to call and ask for a maximum of $7,000, which is already a lot of money now after this horrible Citizens United 2.0 decision, politicians can ask for half a million dollars to be donated essentially to their campaign through various committees.
