I know there's so much bad news out there in the world. And so today, I want to share with you some really good news. My constituent, Carmen Mejia, an innocent woman, is finally free from prison, from jail, and from being detained by ICE over 20 years ago. Carmen was wrongfully convicted of murder, sent to life in prison. But the bailiff in that case, an everyday man here from Austin, knew there was something wrong with the case. (00:08–00:18)
