Safer communities require secure borders. I launched Operation Lone Star with the legislature to combat President Biden's open border policies. We built a border wall, installed buoys in the Rio Grande, deployed the National Guard and Department of Public Safety on the ground, in the water and in the air. These brave soldiers and troopers have built border barriers, arrested and jailed illegal crossers, and seized enough fentanyl to kill every man, woman and child the United States, Mexico and Canada combined.
