Today we're going to talk about first responders and our gratitude that we have for them, gratitude for what they do every single day, putting their lives on the line. And let's be clear about something. The strength of Texas is rooted in the rule of law as well as the dedicated men and women who go to work to uphold that rule of law. Every single day across our state, law enforcement officers answer a solemn call to serve to protect lives and property, to maintain public order, prevent and investigate crime, and respond to emergencies and keep our communities safe.
