There is an urgent, ongoing need for public safety in our state and in our communities. And I want these officers to know they have a governor in Texas who has their backs. The fact is, I've been committed to law enforcement my entire life. When I graduated from Duckeville High School just outside of Dallas, I was given a scholarship to go to college from the Duncanville Police Department. (06:10–06:14)
