I truly do believe that having a shared perspective of Earth as a planet, as a spaceship that we are all on, is important to solving some of the biggest challenges that humanity faces over the coming years. And People in the space community in particular have, I think, a special role to share their knowledge and wisdom of climate science and the different ways in which the planet that we all live on protects life on earth and enables us to have rich, rewarding lives. And I really think that having people go to space will increase that perspective. As more and more people are able to see Earth for themselves, they'll be able to take that perspective back to their home communities and share that inspirational view. (12:57–13:24)
