But in terms of the direct impacts of climate change, this state has led the nation in terms of its response to mitigate, but also the emergency response to address. And that's reflected in a budget. I'll just give you a specific. At Cal Fire alone, the budget I inherited was $2 billion. And the one I'm submitting next week is close to $4 billion. Just in seven years, doubling the budget went from 5,800 personnel over 11,000, closing in 12,000 now personnel, almost doubling the number of personnel.
