In the lakes, people can't eat fish that they catch in certain parts of the Huron river where they have fished for generations. And in this district, farmers have lost their livelihoods from PFAS contamination. So We've worked hand in glove in the Michigan delegation, Republicans and Democrats, as well as local and state authorities, to figure out who's affected and meaningful cleanup. One of the biggest things we've been looking at is PFAS contamination through the us military, which for years used PFAS firefighting foam at installations including Wordsmith Air Force Base near Escoda and Camp Grayling.
