When I first came in as a member of Congress back in 2019, there was no requirement that the Department of Defense disclose and be transparent about the amount of pfas in a given community around a base. So I introduced the military PFAS Testing Disclosure Act. It passed. It was signed into law a couple of years back. And now the Department of Defense has to publish the results of PFAS testing that it conducts near these military bases. (17:59–18:06)
