And you chaired the interim committee to study that tragedy. How did that influence the way you fashioned this bill? Well, you know, I was in and out of there for 44 days. Our committee interviewed over 70 different witnesses. I personally examined so many of the people who were on the scene, and we saw multiple shortcomings and found that there was multiple systemic failures, some at the school district level, a lot at the law enforcement level.
