I knew public service was always my calling. I didn't think it was going to be this quick and the path to Congress being my first race. But I was recruited by local leaders and some federal leaders who needed a strong candidate in CA 45. And they believe that my profile fit that, and they're right. I am so dedicated, and I love the people of CA 45. I want to represent them. (28:04–28:14)
