Far too many kids in our great commonwealth are left behind by our education system and education is the key for opportunity for all. Nearly half of Pennsylvania's 4th and 8th graders cannot read proficiently at grade level. Only 26% of our 8th graders are proficient in math and this is also a national security issue.
