And let's not even talk about the sexual predators and all the ways that our innocent children can be exploited. Congress has repeatedly failed to update federal laws such as the Children's Online Privacy Protection act that was meant to protect kids online in the early days of the Internet. And this is one where we need to come together in a bipartisan way to address this crisis and protect children by properly treating kids under 16 as minors needing protection from the harmful effects of social media.
