Your top candidate would get four points, your second would get three, your third choice would get two, and your last choice would get one. And that can lead to some kind of messed up outcomes. So I prefer what's called instant runoff, which is a form of ranked choice voting, which just says that your vote should count for one of the top two last candidates. So if your first choice doesn't make it to the top two, then you go to your second choice. If that's not in the top two, then you go to your third choice. (16:09–16:18)
