All of the super delegates who were installed specifically because they were supposedly Hillary Clinton loyalists, flipped their allegiances to Barack Obama Obama, thus tipping the election. At least in 2008, the party's rank and file clearly wanted Obama. In 2016, the party's rank and file clearly wanted Bernie Sanders. But then, as in 2020 and as now, I think Democrats understand intrinsically that the american people, the average voter, does not want a raving lunatic socialist to be their president. (35:53–35:59)
