Thank you again to all of our alders that are here. Over the past few weeks, we have seen historic levels of rainfall repeatedly hitting the southwest side of Chicago. In particular, City workers across multiple departments have been working tirelessly to help residents recover and begin the process to rebuild. On behalf of the entire city of Chicago, let me first also extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our city workers who have been on the front lines of this crisis, especially our oamc, dwm, DOB and Streets and Sanitation workers.
