And my plan will address the rise in hate crimes against LGBTQ New Yorkers by giving, finally giving proper funding to the New York City Commission on Human Rights. We've got one of the strongest human rights laws in the country, but it's only as good as its enforcement. And right now, there simply are not enough staff to act on complaints and enforce the rights that New Yorkers have. In addition, my plan will fund anti hate and education members in our public schools. (10:14–10:21)
