Furthermore, if we are serious about moving forward in terms of combating climate change, we must end the egregious tax policies that allow some of the world's most profitable fossil fuel companies to collect more than $135 billion every 10 years in subsidies. These large oil companies should receive no subsidies under any circumstance. They are hugely profitable corporations, but especially when they are producing a product which is doing so much damage to our planet, we're going to end those subsidies and my End Polluter Welfare act does just that.
