And as New York State Attorney General and as your governor, I know government can make a positive difference, because we did. Was it easy? No. But together, we achieved historic, progressive accomplishments. We did things they said couldn't be done. We changed lives by setting the highest minimum wage in the nation, a 66% increase. We saved lives by enacting the toughest gun violence protection laws in America.
