I did want something called judicial discretion, where the judge could use discretion. The legislature refused that in the initial bill. And again, this is about six years ago, I signed that bill. Three months after it went into effect, I came back and we amended the bill to basically give the judge discretion if the person committed any harm. And again, since then, the bill has been changed by Governor Hochul and the legislature several times. So it has nothing to do with the bill I passed six years ago. (05:50–06:01)
