You know, class size is going to have to be reduced by state law, and the city's going to need as much as 12,000 new teachers. How are you going to get them public education? Young families leave because when the child has to go to school, they move to the suburbs or they move to Jersey because they're going to have a better education. We have to improve our public education system first. I would continue mayoral control. My opponent would give up mayoral control. Mayoral control was the best reform in 40 years. (13:18–13:28)
