The strength of American democracy as I first took office, I think was pretty robust. That would have been January 1, 2017. And today I think we have seen some significant erosion in that strength. We see Congress that is reluctant at best at checking the executive and exercising its power as a co-equal branch. I think we have seen a series of states moving towards changing rules mid game, which I think is one of the biggest strengths of American democracy, is that it's predictable. (01:33–01:44)
