First, I will focus on giving families more breathing room when it comes to childcare. That means reducing the wait list for the child care subsidy program and allowing more families to participate. And I'll work with the General assembly to provide grants for employers who help their employees with childcare. And I'll work with localities to find vacant property or unused property for new child care sites. But we also have to make sure that we have Virginians who can take on these roles, caring for the next generation of Virginians. (00:41–00:48)
