One-on-one with Abdul El-Sayed, who is running to be the Democratic nominee U.S. Senate

I believe that we need to hold our laws forward. The Leahy laws condition our ability to sell war materiel and weapons to countries that are committing human rights atrocities, which Israel definitely is. And I believe that it is not our job to continue to run cover at the UN or the International Criminal Court or the International Court of Justice for a country that has become a rogue state. So I want my tax dollars spent here. I don't want our largess and our reputation to be wasted on a country that is taking us into wars we don't need to fight conducting apartheid and genocide. (09:22–09:31)

CLAIM

Asserts that the U.S. should not protect Israel at international bodies due to its status as a rogue state.
