It is difficult to see not only the scale of bigotry but also the unabashed nature of it. There is no shame from those who have been engaging in it over these last 48 hours or before that. We have a governor who went on a radio show where the host said that I would cheer another 9, 11. The governor laughed and agreed and in the more than 24 hours since then, has yet to apologize for them. This is not simply about myself or how I feel. It's about what we deem acceptable in this city. This is a city where more than a million of its residents are Muslim. (16:02–16:17)
