What we've had under the Adams administration, and frankly under many previous mayors, is a politics that has pushed the working class from the mainstream to the margins. This is a position that sets the rent for two and a half million New Yorkers. This is a position that can either make it cheaper or more expensive to use water in New York City, to use your gas, your electricity. and. And yet what we've seen is we've had a mayor who's used almost every opportunity to exacerbate the cost of living crisis. It's time we do the opposite. (01:38–01:46)
