Colorado Congresswoman Yadira Caravello is celebrating her first bill in Congress, slated to become law once President Biden signs it. What this bill does is it looks at what the next wave of drugs says. We've all heard about fentanyl. There is a new drug on the market called Xylazine, which is actually a horse tranquilizer, not supposed to be used for human use, but it's being added into the drug supply and is contributing to the close to 2,000 overdoses deaths that we have in Colorado every single year. Before winning her election for Colorado's newest congressional district last November, Caravello worked as an area pediatrician and Colorado state representative at the state Capitol. (00:51–01:07)
CLAIM
