And so 911 happened in the beginning of my sophomore year, which meant that basically our entire class knew that we were going to go to war. And we could have opted out of it, actually. And quite frankly, The overwhelming majority of my class stayed [at West Point after 9/11]. And I'm actually very proud to be able to say that I remember exactly where I was, what I was doing, what barracks I was living in, sitting at my desk when 911 happened. (05:47–05:52)
