History reminds us that socialism has always been used as a cudgel against free people, as a cudgel against individual liberty and prosperity. It must be denounced by this body in the strongest terms. This resolution also makes clear that Our system of elections here in America should remain secure and participation should be limited only to American citizens. Non citizens have no right whatsoever to cast a vote in our elections. We saw the failures uncovered in New Jersey, where thousands of non citizens were registered to vote in that state.
