The Patriot act was just reauthorized once again this year. And rather than the usual rubber stamp that people like Tom Massey and Justin Amash and Rand Paul and I fought against every single time. They took what was an already egregious abuse of our constitutional rights and freedoms and fomented fear yet again of foreign threats to our democracy. and our freedom to take an already bad Patriot act, even worse, to take away even more of our rights and freedoms. And both Democrats and Republicans voted for this. (18:15–18:27)
