So I think there are a lot of means by which foreign countries exert influence in the United States, up to and including violence and blackmail. That's all real. But on the most basic and powerful level it's campaign contributions, It's the donors pushing policies that the public doesn't want that's not good for the United States. That's why Tom Cotton exists and Lindsey Graham and the rest. So for the Republican Party to be a party that serves the interests of its own country, an America first party, it has to break with these donors. (07:14–07:20)
