But how common is it for a lieutenant governor to then win election? There have been seven lieutenant governors who have gone on to be elected governor. Governor Dugard is the most recent. There are two who have seceded to the governorship, Harvey Wolman and Walter Dale Miller, neither of whom went on to be elected. Okay.
