But, But. But despite this progress, today, we continue to see harmful Anti LGBTQ rhetoric being pushed throughout legislators across the nation, including right here in Wisconsin. Last year, Republican legislators in our own legislature sent a bill to my desk to ban gender affirming care for transgender youth. And just this spring sent me another bill targeting transgender and gender non conforming youth and banning them from participating on school athletic teams that align with their gender identity.
